Wed, April 7, 2004 - 1:39 AMA two dollar ringtone is not an application.
And a tetris ripoff for five bucks isn't exactly making me jump for joy either.
Good thing I already got the terminal client before they were to charge me 10 bucks for it. -

Re: Ok, there are new apps!!!!
Wed, April 7, 2004 - 11:53 AMTen bucks is pretty cheap, and terminal monkey is the most useful app for me, so I can't really complain about the price.
But I wonder how smart charging for these apps is.. Does T-mobile determine the price of apps? I hear on some carriers, AOL Mail is $5 every month! I guess we can be happy that Terminal client dosn't have a monthly, recurring fee.
Checking out the competition, there are at least two free ssh clients for the Treo, and two commercial ones available for $25 or so.
Still, charging for an app that was previously free, and not marked as a preview, seems a bit amaturish.
Also, I discovered something great about the hiptop -- it has a TRANSREFLECTIVE LCD!! I was reading a web site on the hiptop outside in bright sunlight and was surprised that I could read the screen. I love the transreflective screen! I wish my powerbook had one...
Ok, I'm rambling..
